Is Ireland the new Zimbabwe?
But enough of that postulation, I have been rather busy over the last few weeks as queens decided to let me darken their halls once again for round 2. I thought I’d get a nice wee introduction in week 1… but oh no, I got molested in my first class. Fmoc and Boc should go to jail for this offence. These weeks have been filled with epic lectures telling us that reactions were like rioters with bricks and the first law of thermodynamics was ‘Hard, like the PSNI! It doesn’t take any crap, It’ll arrest you!’ to a lecturer called axel ros…sberg and no he wasn’t cool, he had a bum bag.
I have of course been paying attention to the news in my semi-conscious state, and couldn’t fail to notice the raving about tuition fees. Sorry to say people but it has to happen, the economy has looked the other way for too many years and we just can’t do that anymore, the same with job losses, It’s hard ball for all of us. Scaremongering about such things doesnt help anyone.
I couldn’t help but read the ‘rebuttle to the rebuke’ and loved the ambiguity of some numbers. Around 2% of a population cannot be described as ‘Thriving’.
But enough serious stuff, I had my first french class today taken by a lady called maryvonne le roy, that’s an epic name I think. I didn’t drown thankfully and I could actually understand most of what she said, what a lovely lady!
